Introduction
Phototheme is an exciting and innovative concept in
children's photography offering a complete photography
service including traditional and contemporary children's
portraiture, themed photographic sets, group photographs
and family day photographic sessions.
As established Pre-School, Nursery and Playgroup
photographers, we have extensive experience working with
children across diverse cultural backgrounds.
We are based in Romford and cover East London, Essex and
Kent.
Although Phototheme offer the traditional children's
portraits with mottled backdrops and more contemporary
portraiture with white backdrops, our "Themed" sets were
developed to make the experience of being photographed
fun, unusual and exciting for children and therefore
producing great and unique photographs for parents and
relations.
With the extra time and patience that we devote to our
photographic sessions we produce pictures that capture
the personality of the child in a relaxed and comfortable
manner.
We provide promotional posters for display in the weeks
running up to our visit, which lists the photographic
packs and frame sizes available. We typically visit 2
times a year but are completely flexible to meet your
needs.
Remember to book early for the run up to Christmas though
- by far our busiest time.
Our portrait photographs are normally of individuals
presented as proofs from which parents can, under no
obligation, choose the size and quantity of photographs
from the packs listed on our order envelopes.
As well as traditional style head and shoulders
portraits, we are also able to offer "high key" portraits
and full length photographs reflecting a more
contemporary style of photography.
We have an ever increasing range of backdrops, sets and
props on specific themes.
Our multi-print packages are suitable for all
requirements. Prices vary depending on the type of
photographs.
Normally 10" x 8" prints are the largest available in
packs with combinations of photographs ranging down to
key ring size pictures.
Photographs are available up to 20" x 16" in frames.
For certain organisations we can also include group
photographs.
The finished photographs are presented in mounts ready
for display.

Themed Sets
Phototheme was developed partly in response to parents
requests for alternative photographs to traditional
school type photographs.
But also to take photographs that children would enjoy
participating in and pleased to have.
Our sepia toned Victorian "studio" and "themed" sets are
extremely popular.
Our train theme includes tavelling props and suits, top
hats and canes for boys, dresses, hats and parasols for
girls.
Our Shop set is complete with shop props and ragamuffin
clothes for boys and girls.
Our "giant sweet" set is always a great success with
children who love being photographed with sweets bigger
than themselves. In spring 2007 we will introduce our new
"cup cakes & ice cream".
We have developed specific sets for all of the seasons
and for the Christmas period our "traditional Christmas"
set surrounds the children with presents in front of a
traditional Christmas window scene.
Our winter set includes a snowman, gingerbread house and
sleigh. We are currently developing a new Christmas set
which will include giant Christmas pudding, mince pie and
Yule log.
